Yvonne Pashua Mwangi-Autism Ambassador Mombasa 2026

I am a mother, autism advocate, storyteller, and content creator passionate about raising awareness and supporting families raising autistic children. My advocacy journey was inspired by raising my son, Joshua, a non-speaking to minimally speaking autistic young man who has taught me to recognize and celebrate the many different ways autistic individuals communicate, learn, and experience the world.

I would like to be the Autism Ambassador Mombasa 2026 because I want to use this platform to amplify the experiences of autistic individuals and their families. I hope to create greater awareness around communication access, inclusive healthcare, education, caregiver support, and the importance of looking beyond an autism diagnosis to see each person’s personality, abilities, and potential.

The message I hope to share is simple: autistic individuals deserve to be understood, respected, included, and given meaningful opportunities to thrive. I also want parents and caregivers to know that they are not alone and that their experiences, advocacy, and voices matter.
