Meet Stella Clare, a mother, mentor, coach and proudest cheerleader to her son, Philip.

Walking alongside Philip has been a journey of learning, advocacy, discovery and celebrating abilities. Along the way, Stella has seen first-hand what can happen when an autistic young person is given the right support, encouragement and opportunity to shine.

As an Autism Ambassador Mombasa 2026, Stella hopes to use her voice to create awareness, challenge misconceptions and advocate for greater inclusion and meaningful opportunities for autistic people.

Through their journey as a mother-and-son team, she hopes to remind other families to believe in their children, recognise their abilities and give them the opportunity to be seen, heard and included.
